I have been an addict since I was twelve and I’m 26 now. I have made the first steps to getting myself into treatment and am on a waiting list. I have never been so happy with any decision I’ve made until now. Hope is out there, just have the will and power to want to be happy again. This poem touches my heart because I do know what an addiction is like. I was addicted to cutting for about a year until my parents found out.
